The most important steps to get started
Your user account is created by your organization. Once your account has been set up, you will receive an invitation email - please check your spam folder as well.
Follow the instructions in the email to set up your password, and then log in to the Famedly app.
Step 1: Accessing the Messenger
You can use the messenger in two different ways - and you can use both options simultaneously.
Using via web browser on your computer
- Open your preferred internet browser (e.g., Chrome, Firefox, Safari).
- Enter in the address bar:
app.famedly.de
- Press the Enter key (↵).
- Continue with Step 2.
Using via mobile app on your smartphone or tablet
- Click the following link to go to the App Store:
- Tap "Install" to download the app on your smartphone or tablet.
- Continue with Step 2.
Step 2: Preparing to log in
Logging in via web browser or app
- An input field labeled "Login URL" will be displayed. Enter your login URL there:
organisation.famedly.care (Example)
- Click or tap

- Continue with Step 3.
Step 3: Completing the Login
Logging in via web browser or app
- An input field labeled "Login name" will be displayed. Enter your email address there.
- Click or tap

- Now the "Password" input field appears. Enter your password there.
- Click or tap

- Open your email program. There you will find an email with a verification code.
- Return to the TI-Messenger. An input field labeled "Code" will be displayed. Enter the verification code from the email there.Some organisations may use a different method for the two factor authentication. If you are unsure, please contact Support.
- Click or tap

- Congratulations! You are now successfully logged into the TI-Messenger.
Step 4: Activate Chat Backup
It is very important to activate chat backup to be able to access your chat histories later. Follow these steps to set up chat backup:
Desktop
- Click on your profile picture or initials to open settings.
- Click on Security and then on Chat Backup.
- Click on Enable Chat Backup.
- Keep your passphrase in a safe and secure place (e.g., using a password manager).
- Click on Enable.
Mobile
- Tap on your profile picture or initials to open settings.
- Tap on Security and then on Chat Backup.
- Tap on Enable Chat Backup.
- Keep your passphrase in a safe and secure place (e.g., using a password manager).
- Tap on Enable.

Step 5: Create Contact Point or Add eHBA Card
Create Contact Point
If you have administrator permissions to create contact points for your server, you should definitely do this. Only with a created contact point is your company visible to other organizations within the TI environment: Mange Contact Points.
Add eHBA Card
If you are a user on a TI-Messenger server, you can add your eHBA card. Here's how it works: Use eHBA.
Step 6: Set Browser Logout Times
The gematik specification requires us to lock your account in the web browser after a certain period of inactivity. This is set to one hour by default. To ensure that you don't have to enter your password very frequently on your PC, you can adjust the time windows in the settings: Automatic Logout.
