Register eHBA card

You can register yourself on the TIM contact list by connecting your eHBA to your user account. Thereby you will be able to contact users from other organizations and be contacted by them, as long as they have registered an eHBA card in their account, too.

You will need a mobile device with NFC to connect your eHBA to your user account.
Mobile
  1. To access the settings, tap your profile picture or name initials.
  1. Tap Profile.
  1. Tap the Add + Button next to eHBA-Card text.
  1. Tap Start Verification.
  1. Enter the CAN and tap Confirm. You can find the 6 digits long CAN number on your eHBA card.
  1. Enter eHBA PIN and tap Confirm.
  1. Now place the chip of your eHBA card on the NFC reader of your mobile device. Move your card a little bit until the app says Reading card... then do not move it until the card is successfully registered.
  1. If the card could not be read, tap Scan again and place your card on the NFC reader again. Make sure not to move it until the card is successfully registered. Removing the phone case might improve connectivity.

Revoke eHBA card

Mobile
  1. To access the settings, tap your profile picture or name initials.
  1. Tap Profile.
  1. Tap the Arrow (>) Button next to eHBA-Card text.
  1. Tap Revoke card.
  1. Enter the CAN and tap Confirm.
  1. Enter eHBA PIN and tap Confirm.
  1. Now place your the chip of your eHBA card on the NFC reader of your mobile device. Move your card a little bit until the app says Reading card... then do not move it until the card is successfully revoked.
  1. If the card could not be read, tap Scan again and place your card on the NFC reader again. Make sure not to move it until the card is successfully revoked.

Register and revoke eHBA card with the Famedly eHBA Reader app

With the Famedly eHBA Reader app you can register and revoke your eHBA card without installing the messenger on your phone. If you have access to your user ID, you can even do this without access to your account.

Register eHBA card with the Famedly web app

Desktop
  1. Click on your profile picture or initials to open the settings.
  1. Click on Profile.
  1. Click on Add +.
  1. If you haven't installed the Famedly eHBA Reader app yet: Scan the QR code with the QR code scanner on your mobile device or search for Famedly eHBA Reader in the Google PlayStore or Apple AppStore and install the app.
  1. Open the Famedly eHBA Reader app on your mobile device and click on Next step in the browser.
  1. Tap on Link Web App on your mobile device.
  1. Grant the app permission to use the camera if you haven't done so already.
  1. Tap Ok on your mobile device and scan the QR code displayed in your browser.
  1. Tap on Verify Card.
  1. Enter the CAN number of your eHBA card and tap Confirm.
  1. Enter the PIN number of your eHBA card and tap Confirm.
  1. Activate the NFC sensor if the app indicates that it is turned off.
  1. Hold the chip of your eHBA card to the NFC sensor of your phone. Move the card until the text Reading card... appears on the display and hold the card in exactly that position until it has been scanned. In case of an error, tap on Scan again and repeat the process until the card has been successfully scanned.

Revoke eHBA card with the Famedly web app

Desktop
  1. Click on your profile picture or initials to open the settings.
  1. Click on Profile.
  1. Click on the arrow to the right of the text eHBA Card.
  1. Click on Remove card.
  1. If you haven't installed the Famedly eHBA Reader app yet: Scan the QR code with the QR code scanner on your mobile device or search for Famedly eHBA Reader in the Google PlayStore or Apple AppStore and install the app.
  1. Open the Famedly eHBA Reader app on your mobile device and click on Next step in the browser.
  1. Tap on Link Web App on your mobile device.
  1. Grant the app permission to use the camera if you haven't done so already.
  1. Tap Ok on your mobile device and scan the QR code displayed in your browser.
  1. Tap on Verify Card.
  1. Enter the CAN number of your eHBA card and tap Confirm.
  1. Enter the PIN number of your eHBA card and tap Confirm.
  1. Activate the NFC sensor if the app indicates that it is turned off.
  1. Hold the chip of your eHBA card to the NFC sensor of your phone. Move the card until the text Reading card... appears on the display and hold the card in exactly that position until it has been scanned. In case of an error, tap on Scan again and repeat the process until the card has been successfully scanned.

Register and revoke eHBA card without QR code scanner

If you are unable to scan the QR code or currently don't have access to your account, you can also register and revoke the card using your user ID.

Copy the user ID

Desktop
  1. Click your profile picture or initials to open the settings.
  1. Click on Profile.
  1. Click the QR Code icon.
  1. Click the Copy icon to the left of the text Your user ID is.
  1. Send the copied user ID to yourself (e.g., via email) so you can use it on your mobile device.

Register or revoke card with user ID

Mobile
  1. If you haven't installed the Famedly eHBA Reader app yet: Search for the app Famedly eHBA Reader in the Google PlayStore or Apple AppStore and install it.
  1. Open the Famedly eHBA Reader app on your mobile device.
  1. Tap Connect Web App on your mobile device.
  1. Tap Ok.
  1. Tap Link with User ID instead.
  1. Copy the user ID that you sent to your mobile device and paste it into the User ID input field.
  1. Choose whether you want to verify or remove the card.
  1. Tap Verify Card.
  1. Enter the CAN number of your eHBA card and tap Confirm.
  1. Enter the PIN number of your eHBA card and tap Confirm.
  1. Activate the NFC sensor if the app indicates that it is turned off.
  1. Hold the chip of your eHBA card to the NFC sensor of your phone. Move the card until the text Reading card... appears on the display and hold the card in exactly that position until it has been scanned. In case of an error, tap Scan again and repeat the process until the card has been successfully scanned.
